The development of a sustainable tourism sector is important for a number of reasons: International tourists are becoming more interested in sustainable tourist products and services. The assets of the tourist industry are the environmental and cultural values of the destination, such as the presence of local biodiversity, healthy environment, beautiful landscapes and authentic cultures. It is therefore crucial that these assets be managed sustainably. Taking into account the interests of local people may be a precondition for a safe and attractive tourism destination.
