7 Resident Contact Information Dear Neighbor: To make security in LaVista Park more effective, the Neighborhood Watch Program needs to have each resident provide some basic information that can be used to protect the neighborhood against crime and suspicious activity and to be able to reach you quickly, should that become necessary. 20 Section Vice Presidents (Section Coordinators) Responsibilities

21 Section Vice Presidents Responsibilities The Section Vice President assists the Neighborhood Watch Coordinator and works with Block Captains in implementing and maintaining the Neighborhood Watch program.

22 Section Vice Presidents Responsibilities Assigns Block Captains for every 8-12 homes and assists them in their responsibilities.

23 Section Vice Presidents Responsibilities Recruits Block Captains as needed.

24 Section Vice Presidents Responsibilities Receives reports of criminal or suspicious activity from Block Captains and informs Coordinator.

25 Section Vice Presidents Responsibilities Consults with Coordinator about accuracy of incident reports and if a Crime Alert should be sent before Coordinator receives police report.

26 Section Vice Presidents Responsibilities When Coordinator not available, assumes responsibility for submitting Crime Alerts and for notifying Webmaster.

27 Section Vice Presidents Responsibilities Keeps records of Section residents as supplied by Block Captains.

28 Section Vice Presidents Responsibilities Keeps Watch materials as supplied by the Watch Coordinator.

36 Works in liaison with the Neighborhood Watch Coordinator and Section Vice President to establish and maintain contact with assigned residents and provides to them the information and material necessary for the Neighborhood Watch and to join the Association and Security Patrol.

37 Block Captain Responsibilities Makes personal visit to each assigned home to present Neighborhood Watch Program.

38 Block Captain Responsibilities Welcomes new residents. Coordinates with Welcome Wagon Coordinator to deliver Welcome Basket and Watch folder. Explains membership in the Association, Patrol and Email Alerts.

39 Block Captain Responsibilities Makes sure residents know how to report criminal and suspicious activity.

40 Block Captain Responsibilities Inform Section Vice President and Coordinator of resident reports of criminal and suspicious activity.

41 Block Captain Responsibilities Check e-mail daily for Crime Alerts Inform residents without email of Crime Alerts.

46 Block Captain Responsibilities Attend quarterly meetings of the Section Vice Presidents and Block Captains and other Watch meetings as may be called by the Coordinator.

48 Know Your Neighbors Resident Responsibilities

49 Exchange home, work and emergency phone numbers, types of vehicles and other information with your neighbors and Block Captain.

50 Resident Responsibilities Let a neighbor and your Block Captain know when you are going to be away from home as well as notifying the Security Patrol, if you are a subscriber.

51 Resident Responsibilities Make sure your home is secured.

52 Resident Responsibilities Keep a watch for suspicious persons or vehicles.

53 Resident Responsibilities Call 911 to report any suspicious activity or crime incidents that occur at your home or that you witness in the neighborhood.

54 Resident Responsibilities Call or email your Block Captain or Section Vice-President with details about the suspicious activity or crime after you have called the police. Do not call or email the Security Patrol or Webmaster.

55 Resident Responsibilities Check your email daily for Crime Alerts.
