2 Insert and Resize a Graphic
Graphic is a piece of artwork, photo, or clip art. Graphics can be inserted using the Insert Ribbon and the Illustrations Group. Graphics can be resized using the sizing handles. Hold down SHIFT key while dragging the sizing handles to maintain graphic’s proportions. Insert and Resize a Graphic

Hold down CONTROL key while resizing a graphic to keep the center of the graphic stationary and maintain the proportions while resizing. Right click on the graphic for access to the Format Picture Size dialog box. Insert and Resize a Graphic Continued

4 Copy, Move and Crop a Graphic
Copying an image places a duplicate of the image in a temporary storage location called OFFICE CLIPBOARD. Clipboard can store up to 24 items that are copied or cut from any Office program. The FORMAT PAINTER may be used to copy the formats that are applied to graphics such as line border or shadows. Copy, Move and Crop a Graphic

Cropping a graphic allows the user to trim portions of the graphic to better fit the needs of the publication. Graphic can be cropped vertically, horizontally or both. Remove all cropping from a graphic by using the command on the Picture Tools Format Ribbon Copy, Move and Crop a Graphic Continued

6 Working with Objects Publisher refers to graphics as objects
A GROUP is a selection of multiple objects that can be modified as a single unit. Free Rotate = allows the user to rotate an object to a new degree level. Object may be Rotated or Flipped Use Green button to rotate Use Home Ribbon – rotate command in Arrange group Working with Objects

7 Publisher offers a wide variety of drawing tools to create unique geometric designs called shapes.
