School counselors do not “push” kids to take/do more, nor are they “gatekeepers” to higher-level courses School counselors do encourage balance and health School counselors do encourage students and parents to make thoughtful decisions about the courses they take PBIS – Resiliency Strategies Sometimes (a lot of times!) the answer is the student needs to back-off!
