Committee to consider the preliminary proposals from the district administration and make a recommendation to the Board of Education.

8 Phase 2 Proposals Upgrade and expand (wired and wireless) network infrastructure, cabling (Fiber and Cat6) and wireless access points to support and expand connectivity requirements for student learning. Add additional core switch for redundancy

9 Phase 2 Proposal Upgrade and expand network switches, fiber & Cat6 cabling and wireless access points, add additional Core server $254,000

10 What happens to the rest of the money ???
The money doesn’t go away. The Smart Schools Planning Committee will continue to exist until the money is totally spent. All recommendations for expenditures must pass through this committee.

11 Next Steps Board of Education reviews the committee recommendations and possibly approves preliminary plan. Smart Bond Investment Plan is published on the school district web site with a form for public comments for 30 days. After 30 days the Smart Bond Investment Plan comments are reviewed in a public hearing by the Board of Education. Board of Education possibly approves final plan for submission to NYSED. Final NYSED review minimum 365 days
