There are 2 main objectives to the TR Journal Selection Process.
FIRST and FOREMOST we use this method to evaluate and select journals for covg in WoS. The principles employed were defined by Eugene Garfield, founder of ISI and have been developed to meet the ongoing needs of Thomson Reuters.
SECONDLY we have found that the TR Journal Selection Policy has been accepted and adopted by the worldwide community of scholarly publishers, as it provides a set of objective standards that are essential in building a world-class journal. We have built lasting PARTNERSHIPS with the global scholarly publishing community working TOGETHER to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of scholarly communication everywhere in the world.
