So, that was an overview of what can and cannot be included in the price that an employer agrees with a training provider.
For Employer Providers the same rules apply but, we ask that evidence is provided of actual costs. In fulfilling both roles (the employer and the training provider) an employer provider is essentially negotiating with themselves and we need to understand how they have arrived at the costs that have been included.
Where there is a separate employer and provider we expect some negotiation to have taken place.

Now, we get asked a lot about the type of evidence we would expect an employer or a provider to keep in relation to the 20% off the job training.
This isn’t described in the funding rules and it’s really important that we don’t describe it – if we did it would become too bureaucratic.
We want the evidence where possible to be naturally occurring and it’s likely that you might already have some of these in place. For example, registers, timesheets, learning logs, HR or training systems that record courses such as Oracle.
The most important thing is that you are able to evidence that 20% off the job learning has taken place rather than the method that you’ve used to record it.
