Labour Force Survey (LFS) ad hoc module on employment of disabled people
Aim: to provide information on the situation on the labour market of disabled people and to compare it with the one of non disabled people
Content (2011):
Health problems and difficulties in basic activities
Limitations in work caused by health problems/difficulties in basic activities
Special assistance needed or used by people with health problems/difficulties in basic activities
Limitations in work because of other reasons

Originally, planned as the 5th EHIS module (EDSIM)
First version produced end of June 2008
Pilots in 10 MS on translating and cognitive testing in 2009
Revised questionnaire discussed by a Task Force on Disability Statistics
Final questionnaire available in the public part of Circa since December 2010
Decision for an implementation in 2012 in all Member States, Norway and Iceland as an independent survey via a call for tender (30 lots)

EHSIS call for tender
Total EU funding: 8 M€ (4 M€ from DG JUST and 4 M€ from Eurostat)
Total EU (plus Norway and Iceland) sample size: persons (8.000 persons on average per MS)
Fieldwork: September 2012 – February 2013
1st call for tender published in June 2011: offers corresponding to 16 lots were received (including for lot 30 on coordination) => contracts signed for 15 lots by the end of the year
National statistical authorities involved in DK, HU, LV and SI
2nd call for tender published in December 2011 for 12 lots:
BE, CZ, IT, CY, LU, NL, AT, PT, SE, FI, IS and NO
Tender specifications available on the Eurostat website
Deadline: 17/02/2012
Results:
micro-data sent to Eurostat by Autumn 2013 and released in 2014
tables on Eurostat website in first semester of 2014
