He is a contemporary horror, supernatural horror, supernatural fiction, suspense, science fiction and fantasy American author born on September 21, 1947
Attended Durham Elementary School, Lisbon Falls High School, and University of Maine (graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree)
His family recalls Stephen witnessing the death of his friend by being hit by a train, although King himself did not recall the incident and many believe that this became the grounds for King’s work including inspiring some of his darker works
30 million copies of his novels have been published around the world
