Sometimes, a conversion requires several conversion formulas. Notice that our table does not have a conversion from gallons to fluid ounces. We do have gallons to quarts, quarts to pints, pints to cups, and finally cups to fluid ounces. It might seem like a lot of steps, but by paying attention to the units we can get it set up in one big multiplication problem.
