1 Starter Book 1 Page 8 Pick up a color theory paper from the front table. Locate your favorite color or the color you will use for your background on your pendant. Write down the meaning of this color and how it relates to your symbol. Once done color the shape of your pendant onto the paper and hold your pendant up to the color or colors to choose.

3 Agenda for today Review what we did last time. Demonstration on filing and your back piece of metal. Get right to work on our symbol pendants that should be ¾ done today with sawing.

4 Last time The day was a work day and ½ of your pendant should have been cut out by the end of class. If you were not here last time you will need to catch up by coming after school or signing up for study hall in order to get your sawing done in time.

5 Studio Time You should be cutting your metal today.
Make sure you have your “C” clamp and wood block to protect the table from your saw. Make sure you are always sawing away from yourself. You will saw in chunks and file later. You should be ¾ done by the end of class today.

6 Clean up Saw blades come out of the saws and are put back into the Jar on the teachers desk. Saw frames, wood blocks, and “C” clamps are put away in the drawers in back. The drawers need to shut completely or it is not put away correctly. Your sheet metal should be in your box and your box should be in the back room. Lastly you should be in your seats with all garbage, shavings, or broken saw blades in the trash.
