6. How to use the tool Reason for screening 1. Contact with TB patient? Yes? 2. Do they know what type of TB the person had? If no select the TB contact option If yes, type of TB was drug sensitive TB select the TB contact option If yes type of TB was MDR or XDR TB select the MDR/XDR TB contact option

7. How to use the tool Symptom check Ask the person the following questions: 1. Do you have a cough for more than 2 weeks? 2. Do you have loss of weight? 3. Do you sweat a lot at night? 4. Do you have a fever? If they answer yes to one or more symptoms, evaluate for TB NB: in Q1 remember to say 2 weeks or more
