active: (to) do/clean/see etc. Passive: (to) be + done / cleaned / seen etc. Study the following active and passive form: Somebody will clean the room later. (active) The room will be cleaned later. (passive) Passive 2 Passive 2 6

(Somebody was cleaning the room when I arrived.) passive: was/were + being (done) (The room was being cleaned when I arrived.) There was somebody behind us. We were being followed. Passive 2 Passive 2 17
