Religious and ceremonial Sacred Precinct was at the enterof the city, Sacred Precinct was surrounded by a stone wall, “temples of the most important Aztec gods” were there, ball courts, where priests’ lived, schools to train noblemen to become priests, kings and nobles’ palaces were outside the Precinct along with administration buildings, commoners lived further away in organized neighborhoods (calpulli) “with their own temples and markets”
