in bold type.
Entry- the information on the word you are looking
up.
Pronunciation- tells you how to say the word.
Part of Speech- tells you how the word is used in a
sentence
(n=noun, v=verb, adj=adjective, adv=adverb).

Hurricane – hur-i-keyn (pronunciation) noun (part of speech) 1. a violent, tropical, cyclonic storm of the western North Atlantic, having wind speeds of or in excess of 72 miles per hour. 2. a storm of the most intense severity. 3. anything suggesting a violent storm.
