2. Matter Physical And Chemical
Matter is anything that takes up space and has mass.
If you can see it, touch it, and feel it, it is matter.
Matter Has two types of properties.
Physical And Chemical

3. Elements An Element is one or more atoms of just one type.
i.e. 20 atoms of gold
1 atom of silver
7281 atoms of sulfur

4. Compounds
A compound is a group of two or more elements bonded together.
Elements gain new properties when they bond to form compounds.
Compounds can only be separated chemically.
A reaction must occur and energy must be involved to separate the elements in a compound.

5. Mixtures A mixture is two or more items placed together.
The parts of a mixture retain their own properties.
Mixtures can be separated by physical means.

6. Types of mixtures There are two types of mixtures
Heterogeneous Mixtures: the different parts in the mixture can easily be seen.
Homogenous Mixtures: the different parts in the mixture can’t be seen.
Solution: a mixture that is dissolved in a liquid.
