3. Starter Draw a box 15cm long by 12cm wide
You now have five minutes to sketch the Mansion Block into that box.

Complete activity 1 on p22
You are now going to examine the school environment and see how many examples of weathering you can find. First you need to draw the following table into your book.

Where? Describe what it looks like and what do you think is the cause of the weathering?

6. Plenary
As a class discuss your findings and complete the following questions:
Which type of weathering causes the most amount of damage? Why do you think this is?
What could be done to slow down the processes of weathering in the school?
Now go back to your drawing you did in the starter – how do you think weathering might affect Mansion block in 250 years? On you sketch show where the changes might take place.
