The process of making observations that can be stated in numerical terms (SI – International system)

Infer
The process of drawing conclusions based on reasoning or past experience;
a possible explanation

7. Predict A prediction is a guess what might happen based on observation
***Do not confuse PREDICTION and HYPOTHESIS***
A hypothesis is a possible explanation for a observation or problem that can further be tested by experimentation.  

8. Critical Reasoning
Every argument can be broken down into reasons and logic that support a claim.
Facts and data are often stronger reasons than observations and opinions.
Logical fallacies and personal biases can make any argument fall apart.
