1 BASIC SCIENCE PROCESS SKILLS
The basic science process skills are what people do when they do science

2 Observe Any information that we gather by using QUALITATIVE (the senses) or QUANTITATIVE (measurements and numbers) observation

3 Classify The organization of things into groups according to ways in which they are alike

4 The process of sharing information with others
Communicate The process of sharing information with others

5 Measure The process of making observations that can be stated in numerical terms (SI – International system)

Infer The process of drawing conclusions based on reasoning or past experience; a possible explanation

7 Predict A prediction is a guess what might happen based on observation
***Do not confuse PREDICTION and HYPOTHESIS*** A hypothesis is a possible explanation for a observation or problem that can further be tested by experimentation.  

8 Critical Reasoning Every argument can be broken down into reasons and logic that support a claim. Facts and data are often stronger reasons than observations and opinions. Logical fallacies and personal biases can make any argument fall apart.
