7. So, how do you answer a preposition question again?
Now we have two options
Voici + item + prep + lequel + Je + verb OR
Voici + item + que + Subj. + verb

8. Qui: who, that At the beginning of the sentence: who
In the middle: that

It’s a different part of speech

9. So, when do I use qui/ que
Well, que is when you are talking about two things
Avec quoi dessines-tu?
Voici le crayon que J’aime.
There are TWO subjects: le crayon/ Je
J’aime le crayon qui est grand.
AFTER THE QUI there is no subject.

10. In other words qui works when you have a verb with no subject
______ il a - you know that there is an il there, so you will use que
______ ai - you know that there is no il there, so you will use qui.

11. When translating
Look at the expression. If the that has an “is” after it, it’s going to be qui.
If it has a subject or a name, its going to be que
