1 Exploring the Eight Planets
Solar System Exploring the Eight Planets Part II: The Gas Giants

2 Jupiter -Fifth planet away from the sun
-Largest planet, twice the force of gravity as Earth -Fastest rotation, 10 hours -16+ moons, rings -Moon Io, has active volcanoes -Made up of gas and liquid, no solids -Gives off it’s own heat -Stormy planet, The Great Red Spot

3 Saturn -Sixth planet away from the sun -9 times the size of Earth
-11 hour rotation -30+ moons, many rings -Gaseous planet -Could float in water! Least dense planet -Cold, cloudy, stormy

4 Uranus -Seventh planet from the sun -21 moons, 11 rings
-Gaseous planet -Core filled with diamonds! -98 degree tilt on axis, rotates on side, because it was it by a meteor

5 Neptune -Eighth planet away from the sun
-Gaseous planet, much like Uranus -Fastest winds in the solar system -165 Earth years to orbit -13 moons, rings -Least explored planet, one space craft has visited -Discovered by mathematical calculation, not telescope
