12 Checklist I have at least three examples of vivid, descriptive language that develops setting and character. I have developed the physical appearance and personality traits of all characters in my memoir including myself. I have sequenced the events in my memoir in a way that my readers can follow (things generally happen in order, and if I present a flashback, I use transition words to indicate I’m flashing back). I have a conclusion that reflects on the impact of these events: how they changed me, what I learned from them, and how they will affect my future. I have checked for capitalization errors, along with errors in the comma rules we have learned so far: commas with intro phrases, commas in lists, commas with FANBOYS, and commas with extra info. Also: May use meaningful, properly-punctuated pieces of dialogue that advance the plot, establish character relationships, or reveal character traits.
