3.3 Notes – Graph Systems of Linear Inequalities

When you graph a system of inequalities, where you shade twice is the solution to the system. Dashed lines are used when the inequality isn’t “equal to.” Always solve for y when graphing. Shade in a positive direction when “greater than” and in the negative direction when “less than.”

Example #1: Solve each system by graphing.

Example #2: Solve each system by graphing.

Example #3: Solve each system by graphing.

Example #4: Solve each system by graphing.

Example #5: Solve each system by graphing.

y < -x + 5 Ex #6: y < 2x

Ex #7: No Solution

Ex #8:

Ex #9:

Ex #10: Infinite solutions
