Read the following safety scenarios. Determine if the student or students are correctly following safety rules. If they are not, identify which rules they are breaking. Then, say what they should do to be safe
Maddy is thirsty. She rinses a beaker with water, refills it with water, and takes a drink.
The printed directions in the lab procedure tell a student to pour a small amount of hydrochloric acid into a beaker. Detrick puts on safety goggles, an apron, and gloves before pouring the acid into the beaker.
Cassidy is wearing a baggy sweatshirt. Before starting her lab, she rolls up her sleeves.
