4. Theme Project Poster
You will have 40 minutes to, hopefully, finish assembling your theme poster.
Make sure all hands are on deck! Everyone should be working on a part of the poster.
You must include the following ON the poster:
theme statement
each person’s theme quote
poem
symbol
visuals

5. Effective Presentation Strategies
Speak loudly and clearly. Try to project your voice to the back of the room.
Use a controlled pace. Don’t rush! Try to pause after each sentence.
Use your voice to emphasize points of importance or interest.

4. Make eye contact with everyone in the audience. Practice saying as much as you can without looking at your sheet. Once you need to look at your notes, read them, and then start again. Repeat this process until you have memorized your portion.

7. Time to Rehearse! Figure out the order of speakers for each section.
Each person will present:
-some moments from the novel where the theme is developed
-individual theme quote (PPEC)
-part of the poem; be creative!
-an idea about how the symbol enhances the theme statement

8. Homework
Complete poster and continue to rehearse your portion. Bring your typed PPEC to hand in!
