The world is divided into 24 time zones. The time in each zone is different. The zones right next to each other are one hour different.

8. How to find time on a Time Zone Map
To find the time in different zones, count how many hours in front or behind another time zone is

9. Example
Example: The west coast of the United States is colored blue. The East Coast of the United States is colored orange. The West Coast is 3 hours behind the East Coast. This means that if it was 10:00 a.m on the East Coast, it would be 7:00 a.m on the West Coast.
