2 Our Story In 1987, Gerald J. Moore founded Building Mechanical & Energy Services, Inc. (BMES). This was a part-time business he operated while working full time as a facility engineer at The Procter & Gamble Company. He trained his sons in the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) trade and exposed them to the contracting business. With the workload of his full time job growing, he elected to close the business in 1999. In 2012, John A. Moore relaunched the firm with the support of his father Gerald. Currently, BMES provides HVAC services to over 300 parcels. The company is operated today by Gerald and John Moore. BMES maintains a fleet of five (5) vehicles and seven (7) team members.
