4 Education /Awareness Process
Because the issues involved with new e-business processes are a totally new way of thinking, it takes a long time for organisations to understand the changes required in business process and practice It requires more than meetings and seminars. As part of the education/awareness process the OIC has developed an internal and external project process. Internal projects are proposed by members as part of Special Interest Groups [ZIGS] or Special Application Groups [ZAGS] eg EAIM, Y2KRAMP, TIMS External projects are provided by the OIC Tender Information Management Service [TIMS] eg DEWRSB EoI 2001/10, NSW Local Government & Shires Associations tender Lgov-NSW-2 to provided enhanced Community Services

5 Logistics Education/Awareness process
1 On-going development contact base - currently 7,500 contacts Australia and another 7,000 worldwide 2 Matrix of vertical {Industry} & horizontal {application} projects 3 Develop infrastructure process for formation project work groups - acknowledge & protect IP 4 Promote regular published program of education/awareness seminars 5 Establish list of speakers 6 Credits scheme for attendance and participation 7 Work with other groups to promote education/awareness

6 XZIG Co-ordinating issues
A Awareness of XML and world-wide promotion by UN/CEFACT and OASIS to stimulate use E-commerce B External projects - monitoring tenders that may be suitable for XML projects - TIMS C Internal projects - TIMS submit as XML schema - funding applications to ITOL for commercialisation D Education and networking service for Tenders E Identifying funding resources for E-commerce initiatives
