10 Developments… - No clear approach to ISO 9001 structure – 20 discrete clauses - Early 1990s users queried how it fitted together into a system - ISO 9001 developed ‘process approach’, followed by ISO 14001 using PDCA - Users asked why standards covered issues in different clauses and why some requirements were almost the same - Additional indexing needed when incorporating both standards into overall systems

17 ISO 45001 progress… - IOSH is a Category A Liaison - There have been 4 international meetings - Standard at CD2 stage - Approval to move to DIS stage - Another meeting due next week - ISO 45001 will reach DIS stage this year, so it’s on target for October 2016 publication
