2. Why Rome? The reason why I would love to go to Rome is
because of the history that surrounds it.

3. Things To Do In Rome: See the Colosseum! TO DO LIST:
Visit the historic Pantheon where the Romans came to worship their gods and later on was used as a “Christian” church.
Make a wish in the
Trevi Fountain!
Eat some good food!

4. The History Behind it…
Began as a farming village then became a republic, then an empire as they conquered surrounding peoples.
The Romans were very advanced politically, architecturally, and militarily.

5. The History Behind it…
During the time of Jesus, the Romans ruled over most of the known world at that time.
It eventually lost power, but is one of the oldest, most historic cities that still houses many original buildings from the time of Jesus.

6. FOOD!!!
Just viewing a culture is never as effective as tasting the culture.
Roman Cuisine is a mix of Jewish and Greek foods - dishes that offer lamb cutlets and pieces of ham.
The city also offers cliché Italian foods like spaghetti, pizza, and other pastas, but don’t expect it to taste like anything you have tasted in the USA.
There are many vineyards, so drinking wine with meals is not uncommon.

Rome, Italy is like Hollywood or L.A. for us, where many films are made and produced.
