2 Everyday hundreds of people go hungry in our community.
Our desire is to work collaboratively with other service providers to help alleviate this hunger.

3 Vision Statement Demonstrating the love of Christ, Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort is determined to transform our community by overcoming hunger at every level and providing relief from the effects of poverty - one life at a time.

4 Mission Statement Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort will demonstrate the love of Christ by our determination to restore the dignity of all people, without discrimination, through: Meals that relieve hunger and renew hope Caring relationships that restore dignity to those experiencing the effects of poverty Community connections that foster networking to provide answers and meet needs Advocating for the transformation of unjust structures that perpetuate poverty.

Renovation of rented space – basement of The Harmony Centre (Former Knox United Church) Volunteer application and training (Estimated need – 25 a week) February 2013 – Hire Director of Operations and Part-time Cook

13 Volunteers! We encourage the whole community to become involved.
Teams of volunteers There will be an application process, training & orientation We will need volunteers for office duties, meal prep work, greeting, serving food, clean up, and interacting with clients
