The Introductory Course
All Computer Science freshmen must take: CS 110 Introduction to Computer Science credit This one credit hour course introduces the computer science program to the students.

GEN 101: New Portal to Appreciating Our Global Environment
NewPAGE is required of all first-year freshmen and transfer students with fewer than 12 transfer credits. Advanced placement, CLEP and DANTES credits do not exempt students from the requirement. However, students with 12 or more dual enrollment or military credits are exempt are not required to enroll in the NewPAGE course. For CS-major student, the GEN 101 course can be used as a substitute for a specific General Education course: History or Philosophy or Social Science prospective.
