2. The minutes of the PRB kick-off meeting on
4 July 2005 pointed out that

4. Gascogne PRB (Fr)
 The main objective of the PRB is to support the identification
and the implementation of adapted measures to reduce
the impact of agriculture concerning water pollution.
In this framework, PRB managers intend to provide
contributions on :
cost-effectiveness analyis
draft programme of measures in a collaborative and
Iterative process
Detailed timetable to be defined, depending on WG B deadlines

5. Odense PRB (Dk) Main environmental problems are related to discharge
of nutrients into the aquatic environment from grown fields
and from sewage outlets causing eutrophication of surface
waters.
Planned tasks are :
Integrated programme of measures
Provisional RBMP
Standardized data (key indicators) of pressure, impact
and programme of measures.

6. Odense PRB (Dk)  In the preparation of the programme of measures,
several analyses will be carried out, of which :
-Scenarios on measures to reduce nutrient-pressure, organic
load of small streams and physical impact of surface waters
2nd half 2005 and 1st trimester 2006
-Cost-effective analysis for the programme of mesures
 Odense PRB outcomes will be included into WG B reports.

7. Suldal PRB (No)  The Suldal PRB is representative for the topography,
hydrology, settlement patterns and human influences
prevailing in the North Atlantic coastal region of Norway.
 The river basin is heavily impacted by hydropower
regulation.
 Focused topics are:
-CEA with special emphasis on effects of measures
implemented in regulated rivers and lakes.
-Proposal for important elements in a RBMP for Suldal RB.
 Detailed timetable to be defined

8. Weser PRB (G) Main water management issues are : restoring river
continuity, fish spawing areas and juvenile habitats.
 Planned objectives are :
to refine the main water management issues
to develop measures in watercourses, transitional and
coastal waters
to define measures in order to achieve the good
ecological potential in HMWB
-to develop a catalogue of different measures, especially
for municipal surface waters
 Detailed timetable to be defined

9. Next steps WG B will provide the 12 PRB with WG B draft documents :
PRB will be invited to give their comments by end 2005
PRB will be invited to provide inputs by January 2006
at the latest, in order to illustrate WG B draft documents
with concrete case studies.
