4 Why do we have reports? Reports are tools to help AUs validate data

Reports are tools to help AUs validate data The CDE assumes that Admin Units have used the reports to validate data, and in fact, the data submitted are valid Reports help determine your AU’s compliance with Indicators 5, 6, 9 and 10 (required by OSEP), fiscal allocations, and other compliance related material 4

5 When do reports become available?
5/13/2019 When do reports become available? Special Education December Count Reports become available once interchange data have been successfully uploaded and a snapshot has been created. Only pipeline users with the DEC role can see the Special Education December Count Reports. You can still see the reports when you have errors at the interchange, but data related to those errors won’t be included in the report. You can still see the report when you have errors at the Snapshot, but the reports won’t be complete. 5

7 EXCLUDED IEP STAFF Records that have INTERCHANGE errors show up in these reports. 7

8 PIPELINE REPORTS RECORDS NOT IN DEC
Records that don’t meet the Special Education December Count Criteria or have an Interchange error show up in this report. The message is not always clear why the record didn’t meet the criteria. 8

This report will list all the signature reports that are required to be reviewed and signed by the Special Education Director. The report will also have a line stating Warnings have been reviewed by the Special Education Director 16

January 26, 2017 Staff Data Validity Certification Report Student Data Validity Certification Report February 16, 2017 Upload Required Reports to the Data Management System Reports are to be uploaded to the Data Management System under the Profile Tab (Same location as the Discipline and EOY Reports) . 17

Become error-free at the interchange level Upload interchange files Take a snapshot Re-take snapshot Become error-free at the snapshot level Examine the reports 18

19 UPCOMING DEADLINE THURSDAY, JANUARY 19TH, 2017 Date by which you must have generated your Complete Special Education December Count Snapshot dataset by passing all Interchange and Snapshot validations in preparation for report review. 19

20 Special Education Snapshot REPORT REVIEW
JANUARY 20, 2017 – JANUARY 26, 2017 This is your opportunity to sit with your Special Education Directors to review reports in detail and make any data corrections you deem necessary to make sure you are reporting valid and reliable data. Administrative Units – please contact your District HR staff ahead of time to ensure that they set aside this window to make changes. Be sure to schedule this time well ahead of January 26th Deadline 20

21 JANUARY 26TH, 2017 *****STATEWIDE DEADLINE*****
Date by which the Admin Unit must have created a Complete Special Education December Count Snapshot in Pipeline verifying that the STAFF and STUDENT data submitted are valid and reliable. A Signed Staff and Student Validity Certification Report will be uploaded to the Data Management System DO NOT HIT SUBMIT that happens on February 16th  21
