TECHNOLOGY INTRODUCTION
Diesel engines are preferred for their high torque and fuel efficiency characteristics. A major downside includes significant toxic NOx and PM emissions.
IMET technology reduces both NOx and PM economically through its DPF1) system and EGR2)
hydration system. The system can be installed on both existing and OEM vehicles to meet the NOx- PM regulations and increase fuel efficiency.
Industry leaders are using expensive Pt/Pd-DPF components to reduce PM and Urea-SCR system to reduce NOx emissions. Alternatively, IMET uses a low-cost catalyst in the fuel (3) or the engine oil.
GreenPower™ utilizes waste heat from the exhaust to create steam, recirculating this steam with EGR for reduced emission and increased fuel efficiency.

EMISSION REQUIREMENTS & THE SOLUTION offered by Rim’s GreenPower™ technology
The on-road truck industry has imposed strict emission standards, which are being followed by regulators of marine diesel engines.
IMET’s technology was chosen as a cost-effective new technology by the Port of Los Angeles in order to meet the stringent upcoming marine NOx-PM emissions regulations.
IMET technology has shown initial positive emission results from the Federal Test Procedure (FTP) tests on a Cummins M11 Diesel Truck Engine, as shown.
IMET’s technology can reduce the cost of trucks, locomotives, generators, and OGV’s by enabling a more economical emission control solution. It would also allow use of Low Sulfur Diesel (LSD, 50 ppm- S ), which is much lower cost than ULSD without affecting the environment.
