Add this bell to the Google Document or Google Slides file that has the bell from
January 3 or 4. Otherwise, the student will need to make a paper version.
Use the two attached documents to complete this bell.
First, read about the “Tale of Genji” on page 259 of your textbook; then use the Answer
Sheet (attached file) to do Section “A” (Background of the Story).
Second, read the secondary document called “Summary of the Tale of Genji” (attached file);
then complete Section “B” (Summary Sentences) of the answer sheet to write a summary
sentence (in your own words) for each of the paragraphs in the reading.
