Academic Workshops Throughout the year the society runs several TA training as well as professional development workshops. We’ve also hosted panel discussions in the past on effective research skills and how to prepare for advanced comprehensive exams. Suggestions for workshops/panel discussions are always welcome. GSA Council The Graduate Student Association council meets once a month to discuss the status of the association and to address any pertinent financial, academic or political issues. A representative of the grad society usually attends these meetings to keep us up to date with the GSA and to voice any concerns/ideas from the math and stats grad student body.
