NOTE: Before presenting this lesson, instructors must thoroughly prepare by studying this lesson and identified reference materials. Throughout this lesson, solicit from students the challenges they experienced in the current Operational Environment (OE) and what they did to resolve them. Encourage the students to apply at least 1 of the 8 critical variables: Political, Military, Economic, Social, Information, Infrastructure, Physical Environment, and Time. MOTIVATOR. Knowing your roles as a leader will play a crucial part in your overall success for this course as well as in your future positions of increased responsibilities throughout your career. We will now review all of the leadership roles pertaining to this class.

LESSON OUTCOME: This lesson provides an overview of the student leadership positions and performance expectations. At the conclusion of this block of instruction, students will have a thorough understanding of class leadership positions and responsibilities. 21ST CENTURY COMPETENCIES: Character and Accountability Teamwork and Collaboration Communication and Engagement TERMINAL LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Action: Review Expectations of Student Leadership Conditions: In a classroom environment, given access to an information briefing, ADP 6-22, and awareness of Operational Environment (OE) variables and actors. Standards: Students will meet the standards when they identify AGBOLC-B class leadership positions and student performance expectations. SHOW SLIDE 2: TERMINAL LEARNING OBJECTIVE, LESSON OUTCOME, AND 21st CENTURY COMPETENCIES NOTE: Inform the students of the Terminal Learning Objectives (TLOs), Lesson Outcomes and 21st Century Competencies.

Class Leader – Maintain class accountability & control; delegate class taskings as necessary XO/S3 – Assist class leader; ensure class is tracking daily schedule; conduct weekly AARs S1 – Submit daily accountability report, weekly pass requests, and any personnel actions to A Co Assistant S1 – Assist S1 in accomplishing daily mission S4 – Work with supply room to provide class with necessary supplies; ensure classroom is cleaned & secured each day Squad Leader (x4) – Maintain squad accountability & control SHOW SLIDE 3: CLASS LEADEDRSHIP POSITIONS (1 OF 3) Learning Step / Activity 1.
