1. THE DAY OF THE LORD
(Reading Joel 2:1-13)

2. The RESTORATION OF ISRAEL is a most important feature in the divine economy. It is indispensable to the setting up of the kingdom of God; for they are the kingdom, having been constituted such by the covenant of Sinai, as it is written, “YE SHALL BE UNTO ME A KINGDOM OF PRIESTS AND A HOLY NATION.” (Exo. 19:6) (Elpis Israel pg. 452)

4. “PROPERLY, THE JEW OUGHT HARDLY TO BE HEARD OF, BUT HE IS HEARD OF, HAS ALWAYS BEEN HEARD OF.  He is as prominent on the planet as any other people, and his importance is extravagantly out of proportion to the smallness of his bulk.
His contributions to the world’s list of great names in literature, science, art, music, finance, medicine and abstruse learning are also very out of proportion to the weakness of his numbers.  He has made a marvellous fight in this world in all ages; and has done it with his hands tied behind him. He could be vain of himself and be excused for it.  THE EGYPTIANS, THE BABYLONIANS AND THE PERSIANS ROSE, FILLED THE PLANET WITH SOUND AND SPLENDOUR, THEN FADED TO DREAM-STUFF AND PASSED AWAY; THE GREEKS AND ROMANS FOLLOWED AND MADE A VAST NOISE, AND THEY WERE GONE; OTHER PEOPLE HAVE SPRUNG UP AND HELD THEIR TORCH HIGH FOR A TIME BUT IT BURNED OUT, AND THEY SIT IN TWILIGHT NOW, AND HAVE VANISHED.

5. Patriarch Kirill, a top advisor to the Russian leader, urged humanity to come together to save the world in his shock warning. 
He told worshippers at Christ the Saviour Cathedral in the centre of Russian capital Moscow THE COMING APOCALYPSE WAS "ALREADY VISIBLE TO THE NAKED EYE".
The head of the Orthodox church said: "Today is not the time to rock the boat of human passions. Today is the time to rally all healthy forces.
"That's why the church, art, culture, our writers, scientists - all those people who love the Motherland - should come together because we are entering a critical period in human civilisation." 
He said the only hope was that people could work together to avoid "THE ABYSS OF THE END OF HISTORY".
But the 71-year-old did not specify which threats had triggered his doom-laden prophecy.

7. The Cambridge University-based genius claims humanity has got less than 600 years - and we must take a cue from STAR TREK and “BOLDLY GO WHERE NO ONE HAS GONE BEFORE”
Esteemed physicist Professor Stephen Hawking has dramatically warned 'THE END OF THE WORLD IS NIGH.’ The Cambridge University-based genius claims we have got less than 600 years left as a species to do something before a “BALL OF FIRE” engulfs the Earth.
In a video appearance at the 2017 Tencent WE Summit in Beijing on Sunday, the world- renowned scientist warned that overcrowding and energy consumption could bring about a fiery end to the planet within 600 years.
The end would come in a “BALL OF FIRE,” he is reported to have said, according to the Cambridge News.
To save itself, mankind must take a cue from American TV series STAR TREK and “BOLDLY GO WHERE NO ONE HAS GONE BEFORE,” he said in the appearance.

8. Professor Hawking sees an answer in ‘Breakthrough Star-shot,’ the $100 million research and engineering program announced in The “A Brief History of Time” author and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg sit on the project’s board.
Professor Hawking said of the interstellar space travel programme: “THE IDEA BEHIND THIS INNOVATION IS TO HAVE THE NANO-CRAFT RIDE ON THE LIGHT BEAM. SUCH A SYSTEM COULD REACH MARS IN LESS THAN AN HOUR, OR REACH PLUTO IN DAYS, PASS VOYAGER IN UNDER A WEEK AND REACH ALPHA CENTAURI IN JUST OVER 20 YEARS.”
The Alpha Centauri star system, the closest star system to the Solar System, is 25 trillion miles (4.37 light years) away but with today’s fastest spacecraft, it would take about 30,000 years to get there.
‘Breakthrough Star-shot’ aims to establish whether a gram-scale nano-craft, on a sail pushed by a light beam, can fly over a thousand times faster to reach the three-star system where astronomers estimate that there is a reasonable chance of an Earth-like planet existing.

9. Joel 2:12-13
12 “Therefore also now, saith Yahweh, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto Yahweh your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

10. 2 Peter 3:7-9
7 “But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH, but that all should come to repentance.”

11. Isa.11:4-5
4 “But with righteousness shall he judge the poor and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.”

2 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of Yahweh’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
3  And many people shall go and say, ‘Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.'
4  And he shall judge among the nations and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.”

Yahweh has provided a sacrifice and that day is quickly approaching when all shall hear his voice, mighty men will cry bitterly and will witness his anger, when on that day he will share out the spoils of war from all, amongst his people. In that day the ways of the flesh will be overcome by the ways of the spirit, in that day of rejoicing, which to many will come as a thief in the night.”
