Acts 2:16-21 Lesson 4

 Follow along in your Bibles with us as we study together. THOSE ONLINE WHO ARE TAKING “THE CHALLENGE”

 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: ' And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. Acts 2:16-17

 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. Acts 2:18-20

 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. ' Acts 2:21

 And He said to them, " Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power.“ Mark 9:1 The Kingdom

 And He said to them, " Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power.“ Mark 9:1 The Kingdom

 The Kingdom was to come with power – Mark 9:1 The power would come with the Holy Ghost. – Acts 1:8 The Kingdom

 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.“ – Acts 1:8 The Kingdom

 The Kingdom was to come with power – Mark 9:1 The power would come with the Holy Ghost. – Acts 8:1 The Holy Ghost came on Pentecost. Therefore, the kingdom came on Pentecost. – Acts 2:1-4 The Kingdom

 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. The Kingdom

 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:1-4 The Kingdom

 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 1 Corinthians 10:16 The Kingdom & the Lord’s Supper

 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, Colossians 1:13 Delivered and transferred into….What?

 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. Hebrews 12:28 Receiving what?

 John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. – Revelation 1:9 A companion in what?

 Then speak to him, saying, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts, saying:" Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out, And He shall build the temple of the Lord; Yes, He shall build the temple of the Lord. He shall bear the glory, And shall sit and rule on His throne; So He shall be a priest on His throne, And the counsel of peace shall be between them both.“ – Zechariah 6:12-13 Jesus is now reigning upon the throne.

 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. Jesus is now reigning upon the throne.

 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear. Acts 2:30-33 Jesus is now reigning upon the throne.

 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 1 Corinthians 15:24-25 His Kingdom will be delivered

 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. – 2 Peter 3:9-10 Nowhere to Reign

 The Kingdom has been established. The faithful are in the Kingdom. Christ is now, currently, reigning on His throne. What have we seen from the Bible?
