This conference intends to use a market-based, destination-focused approach to support the growth of sustainable tourism in Jordan, thus supporting local communities. By focusing on Jordanian Tour Operators promoting Jordan as a sustainable tourism destination (utilizing the Jordan Trail and new Ryan Air affordable routes) there is an opportunity to increase offerings for tourists, thus providing the local communities with greater business opportunities. 9 Expected Results The expected results include improved business operations, increased clients, sales and revenue for Jordanian tour operators. 20 Jordanian Tour Operators will participate, at least 5 will sign deals with Europeans counterparts 10 Jordanian Tour Operators will be assisted in creating links with European Tour Operators Increase in the number of bookings on the Jordan Trail 15 to 20 European Tour Operators will be able to promote Jordan as a sustainable tourism destination in Europe, and have ready packages provided by their Jordanian counterparts Increased offerings for European clients in sphere of sustainable, experience and adventure tourism  Enhanced economic and social relations between Jordan and Europe  Increase in sales and revenues for European Tour Operators  Supporting local communities and economic opportunities for Jordanians

Through the Jordanian Action for the Development of Enterprises Project (JADE) – EU member state countries have a special contribution with their expertise, links and capacity - together we can achieve: Providing connections with EU sustainable tourism actors and assist in bringing them to Jordan Enhancing local community economic development Building on previous and current EU projects in tourism Publicizing and visibility of EU contribution, goals and outcomes Increasing the number of visitors to Jordan and eco/sustainable tourism in specific
