Week 1. On a large sheet make 15 – 18 black and white studies of the suggested artists. Keep the images small. Use a variety of materials. Do close-ups.
HW 1. In your sketchbook make some black and white studies of the suggested
artists. Keep the images small. Fill 2 sides. Find images on the web. Add notes using your Writing About Art sheet
Week 2. On a large sheet make 15 – 18 colour studies of the suggested artists. Keep the images small. Use a variety of materials. Use full copies and close-ups.
HW 2. In your sketchbook make some colour studies of the suggested artists. Keep
the images small. Fill 2 sides. Find images on the internet. Add notes
Week 3. Filter through some magazines and newspapers to find interesting images and text. On a large sheet of paper make 15 – 18 collages.
Homework 3. In your sketchbook fill 2 sides with small black and white collages. Add notes. Experiment with materials
Week 4. Choose some song lyrics and poems. Take some photographs of yourself. On a large sheet of paper make images combining the pictures and words.
Homework 4. Use photos of people and letters cut from magazines to produce two pages of images.
Weeks 5. Produce a range of larger studies in colour and black and white.
HW 5. Continue to develop your project with studies, sketches and notes as you
plan your Main Piece.
Christmas: 9 – 12 sides of further studies as you finalise what to produce in the 10 hour exam.
