11 Course aims (1/2) To provide basic training in one’s speciality, professional and occupational preparation in planning and organization of sustainable energetics processes, in energy preservation and conversion. To ensure student knowledge and skills in planning basic sustainable energy-saving processes. To ensure adequate student preparation in the management of sustainable energetics processes using modern information technology.

12 Course aims (2/2) To guide students to pursue attitudes in relation to problems of environmental load connected with sustainable energetics that recognize legal as well as conscience factor to develop proper attitudes to promote creative activities in one’s speciality, sense of responsibility and life-long learning. To provide graduates adequate training for planning and organization of sustainable energetics processes, to enable them work in the field of energy conservation and conversion or in other specialized fields, where they can demonstrate initiative and responsibility. To help graduates comprehend the problems and role of sustainable energetics in the development of society

14 Learning outcomes (1/2) Graduates have acquired adequate knowledge of planning and organization of sustainable energetics processes, issues related to energy conservation and conversion, engineer’s profession and career prospects in the labour market. Graduates are able to analyze, assess and offer innovative solutions to technical and technological problems in their speciality. Graduates are able to collect scientific and technological information, interpret and use the data in problem-solving and further training.

15 Learning outcomes (2/2) Graduates are able to understand connections between different processes and to apply theoretical knowledge in process planning and use as well as form proper attitudes to encourage creative activities in their speciality, sense of responsibility and life-long learning. Graduates have been prepared to work in the field of the development of sustainable energetics processes (!) or in other specialized areas, demonstrating initiative and sense of responsibility. Graduates have acquired and are able to assess problems and role of sustainable energetics in the development of society.

17 Obligatory parts (1/2) - a country presentation on energy situation, teamwork if there are more than one student from a country (evaluation – only acceptance is needed)

18 Learning outcomes (2/2) Exam - two short exercises should be solved using your computer (an investment feasibility analyze of an energy project, degree hours, optimal base and peak load capacity etc.) max 60% + - two theoretical questions  need short oral answers. max 40% (list of question – next week)
