Then, copy the correct answer only. “Speed Adjustments” -- by John Ciardi Why does a boy who’s fast as a jet Take all day—and sometimes two— To get to school? Why is the above poem an example of hyperbole? It says the boy is fast. It says the boy loves school. It exaggerates how fast the boy is. It compares the boy to an airplane that goes really fast.
