Immunoblotting with serum IgE of patient with cow dander–induced asthma (diluted 1:20) (lane 1), with anti-BDA20 monoclonal antibody (culture supernatant dilution 1:500) (lanes 2 and 4), and with rabbit anti-Bos d 2 serum (diluted 1:25,000) (lanes 3 and 5). In the inhibition test, anti-Bos d 2 serum (final dilution, 1:50,000) was allowed to react with nBDA20 (concentration, 100 μg/ml; lane 6), with rBDA20 (concentration, 150 μg/ml; lane 7), and with human serum albumin (concentration, 100 μg/ml; lane 8) before immunoblotting against rBDA20. Serum reactivity without inhibition (lane 9) and conjugate control (no primary antibody) (lane 10) are also shown.
