Matthew 28:10, 16 – go to Galilee “some were doubtful” even at Galilee Seven disciples were fishing Details on the Sea of Tiberias (vs. 1), aka the Sea of Galilee (John 6:1). Although the area was called Galilee by most Jews, in 25 A.D. a city built on the western shore by Herod Antipas as the capital of Galilee and Peraea, was given the name Tiberias (Tiberius Caesar). Some transferred the name of the city to the sea as well. It is an unusual reference by a Jew to the Roman name. The region "is almost seven hundred feet below sea level and the summer heat is almost unbearable" (The Wycliffe Historical Geography of Bible Lands, p. 134). It was 75 miles north of Jerusalem

12 Many Years Later…… I consider it right, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, to stir you up by way of reminder, knowing that the laying aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent, as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me Peter 1:13-14
