What’s a bibliography? What’s the point?

2 So what’s an annotation?
Define annotated bibliography. A list of research sources used for researching a topic that includes a summary and evaluation of each of the sources.

3 What do I write in the summary?
Summarize: Answer the following questions: What are the main arguments? What is the point of this book or article? What topics are covered? If someone asked what this article/book is about, what would you say?

4 What do I write in the evaluation?
Evaluation: Answer the following questions: Is it a useful source? How is it similar or different to other sources in your bibliography? Is the information reliable? Is this source biased or objective? What is the goal of this source? MOST IMPORTANTLY-How did this source help with the research project?

6 Why am I doing this? Allows you to evaluate your research thoroughly and objectively. Gives me a broad overview of your group’s research. Variety of sources? Reliable sources? Overall good research? Important skill: Being able to summarize and evaluate information you have researched. In school. In a job. In life. Learn it. It’s worth points: 30 points total. 10 points: Group grade 20 points: Individual grade
