2. Background and Objectives
The need for a handbook on integrating water into FAS was already requested by MS in 2006 (at the Vienna conference on WFD and agriculture)
Main Objectives are to:
Exchange experiences and knowledge across the EU Member States
Provide examples that are food for thoughts
Be practicable and support the work of advisers
 YOUR INPUT IS NEEDED TO HAVE SUCCESS

Based on the presented Table of Contents, which additional issues should be addressed in the handbook? What issues are missing in the current Table of Contents?

WG II: Discussing approaches and measures for better integrating water issues in livestock production
Discuss using the provided set of questions
Notes will be taken by Ecologic staff

A set of questions has been prepared for each chapter
Use them as guidance, but feel free to discuss any other related issues
There are small cards around to write down web links, references, and names to be considered when writing the handbook
Please use them and hand them over to us at the end of the workshop
Please try to discuss as quiet as possible but as loud as needed

9. What will happen after the workshop?
Go home and activate your colleagues to send more ideas and examples (DEADLINE )
Ecologic will draft the handbook based on today's ideas and examples
Draft will be sent to MS and participants in the middle of November
Comments, examples and further ideas should be sent to COM and Ecologic by the end of November
Final version in mid December

11. Session IV - Way forward and conclusions
What should be the next step after the finalization of the handbook?
Is there a specific need for new FAS tools / the further development of existing FAS tools as regard to water issues?
Which additional information should be provided to advisors?
Is there a need for a follow up workshop and what should the content be about?
What changes are needed to better integrate water issues in FAS on the EU level?
