King Cake

2. Ingredients 1 – 12 ounce can crescent rolls 1 tps. cinnamon
¼ cup butter

3. King Cake Directions
On a baking pan, unroll crescent rolls with wide part in the inside and the tips pointing outside…like a star.
Pinch ends together to make one
solid piece of dough.
In bowl mix together butter and cinnamon & gently spread all over dough.

4. King Cake Directions Take each tip and roll on top of cake
Bake at 350 for minutes
While king cake is baking; prepare colored sugar and icing.
Drizzle with icing and top with colored sugar alternating colors in the circle.

5. Icing directions and Ingredients
For icing combine in bowl;
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tbsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tbsp. milk
Mix well until smooth.

6. Sugar directions and ingredients
For colored sugar, in 3 separate zip lock bags;
Place 2 tablespoons sugar and 2-3 drops of food coloring.
Close bag, removing all air
With bag closed, rub sugar and food coloring together to dye sugar the appropriate color.
If sugar is not “bright” enough, add more food coloring and repeat.
Repeat this process for all 3 colors;
