2. Today’s Assignment
Today you are going to read two passages which present both sides of an argument.
After reading you will take notes in a T-chart to prepare for writing an argument essay.
Tomorrow, we will go to Computer Lab 819 where you will write and type your argument essay.
The typed essay will be turned in for a grade.

3. Argument Prompt
You have read two passages concerning the use of corn as an alternate energy source. Using all the information given, do you think corn should be used as a source of heat? Write an essay to support your opinion. Be sure to use facts and quotations from the texts to support your opinion.

Yes, corn is a good energy source.
No, using corn is not a good option for heat.
