The research question/hypothesis: What will we learn from this study? Intro (1) What did we know before this study?

2 Methods (1 or 2) Participants Variables
No critique unless essential. Variables No critique unless essential Type of study, e.g. longitudinal, observational. Not all studies are observational. Show us how the methods can answer the research question.

3 Results and Discussion (3-4)
Again, tell us exactly what was found: What was the answer to the research question? Make sure we know what the variables mean. You can copy (or re-do) the tables or figures from the article if you wish. Discussion. Recap results. What is the big picture relation to research topic. What’s the next step?

4 Final Paper Proposal Intro. What’s your research question? You need at least 2-3 references. This can include textbook and your summarized article. What remains to be found out? Methods. How are you going to do this? Who will participate? What will you do? What will you measure?

5 Presentations Research question 4 - 8 sentences
(1-2 from each article) That answer the question What you will read next to answer the question How it will all fit together?

6 Main point (x3) Research question Main answer
Group by results or by study Give us just enough methods (number of participants type of design, measures) so we can understand Focus on main point of each article and how it relates to answering your question
